Fresh year, fresh start. We are on the hunt for a Business Strategy Manager to join our Strategy and Planning team at Hamilton City Council.

Our great river city is buzzing. With an extra 21,000 people expected to call Hamilton home over the next 10 years, it’s our role at Council to make sure we plan well for the future of our city – while retaining the things that make our city so special today.

We’re all about connecting our community and our council. It’s about making sure we work alongside our community so we can understand, and plan for, the things that make the most difference for Hamiltonians.

The Business Strategy Manager’s role is to develop our strategic framework and champion the connection between analytics, strategy development and business planning throughout our organisation. You don’t need to be an expert in local government but you do need to be an expert in strategy.

If this sounds a bit like you, you will need to have excellent people skills as you’ll be working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and the ability to engage and influence is critical.
