Building Control Officer/Cadet Building Control Officer

We are looking for a Building Control Officer at the Clutha District Council, a progressive Council which has established itself as a leading Building Consent Authority that is highly regarded by its customers.

This position is in our team of building control officers with responsibility for all building consent and territorial authority functions. It also involves maintaining good relationships with the building sector and with internal council departments.

You will demonstrate the ability to maintain excellence in a changing environment. Some experience in building control is desirable; however we will also consider someone with industry experience who is looking for a change or wishes to enter the role as a cadet. A positive practical attitude in dealing with customers and sound judgement are essential.
