Asset System and Information Manager

In this newly redesigned leadership role, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction of Asset Information Management within a multidisciplinary team. It's vital that you understand the impact of information management on the asset 'system' and the technologies that underpin Asset lifecycle management.

You'll play a key part in helping to build the Strategic Asset systems technology improvement plan. As the scope of this role has broadened, you'll be required to work with other councils in alignment to improvement programmes, therefore networking and relationship building will be some of your core strengths to enable long-term success of our programme. This role needs a unique balance between an understanding of the overall technical space and strong communication skills to sell concepts while bringing people along for the ride. Articulating the importance of why we are doing these improvements and showing what the benefits will be to the business and other stakeholders. You'll have a good knowledge of SAP/GIS and its capabilities from an Asset management perspective.

You'll be leading a team of six specialists which is still in the making, so a key competent of your initial work will be building and shaping your team, setting direction and ensuring you are working to a proactive model of technical improvements. To do this, you'll need strong influencing skills, reassuring yet strong presence and drive collaboration across the asset owner teams and IT.
