Advisor - Asset Management Governance and Strategy

The Asset Management Unit provides a "whole of city" focus for advancing asset management capability across the asset groups of Transport, Three Waters and Waste, Parks and Facilities.

As the 'go to' advisor, in this role you'll be responsible for the Governance and Reporting function within the Asset Management unit. Attitude is everything here as you'll be required to engage, organise, collaborate, communicate and support the wider team.

There are many layers to this role, which includes governance of the Advancing Asset Management Improvement Programme from drafting meeting terms of reference and work programmes to organising meetings and providing reporting to our Executive Leadership team and the Councillors to keep them updated on our progress. Therefore you'll need to proactively engage with the business unit and wider organisation while managing the governance and reporting work programme and enabling decision making. You'll have autonomy over engagement activities with the organisation and you'll be building relationships with our stakeholders.

Working closely with the team that follow and implement risk methodology, you're responsible for risk identification within our unit. Monthly reviews of promapp risks and identifying additional risks and bringing those to the attention of the leadership team.

We're looking for a people person that has great communication skills, is proactive, patient and pervasive. Working closely with the management team, you'll be a supporter and enabler of business change. In addition to this, your writing ability will be one of your strengths due to the level of the written reports that need to be compiled.

In this role, you'll become familiar with Council governance structures and processes while working on a programme that underpins the assets our citizen's use every day, while bringing people together to enhance the overall success of our programme of work.
